Nightsafe Patron Scheme: Here to support young people across Blackburn with Darwen, and wider Lancashire
Nightsafe has been caring for young homeless people across Blackburn with Darwen, and wider Lancashire for over three decades. Over that time the level of demand, support and services has vastly increased – and with it, so have the costs.
Nightsafe’s dedicated team of staff and volunteers care for individuals, providing:
- Day centre which provides hot meals and clean clothes
- A night shelter for emergency accommodation
- Six housing projects that help people gain skills to become independent
The financial cost of providing these services has risen sharply for the charity.
Nightsafe is desperate for additional support to ensure we can continue to care for those most at risk and those most vulnerable.

To ensure the charity is able to continue to support these young people, we are launching a Patrons Scheme. These Patrons will be the key to the future success of Nightsafe.
The thousands of young people Nightsafe support regularly have usually had a traumatic start in life. But your donations can enable Nightsafe to help them regain their dignity and set them on a new path in life.

The young people who access Nightsafe often have nothing more than the clothes they’re wearing. We are committed to providing our services for free. However, to maintain this commitment, we rely on support to bridge the financial gap.
