How and Why Prestige Beds Support Nightsafe
Prestige Beds have generously committed to supporting Nightsafe financially each month, becoming our first Patron.
James Dunne, Director at Prestige Beds, become involved with Nightsafe over a decade ago.
Initially, the company responded to a call for beds for a new housing project for the charity – and they have been generous supporters ever since – donating hundreds of beds, and helped Nightsafe provide thousands of good night’s sleep for the young people in their care.
And now, they have signed up as Nightsafe’s first financial patron, helping the charity to ensure it has the funds to provide the necessary support required for the young people who access their services.
James said: “The patron scheme is a great idea and we’re excited to be the first patron! It was never a question of if we would become a patron, it was just simply a question of how much we could help as a business.
When we heard about the funding issues and need for more consistent support were more than happy to support the charity further because we know about the amazing work Nightsafe does.
I visited the Night shelter and some of their housing projects and met some of the young people to hear their stories. It’s astonishing how much support the charity offers young people – but the number of young people who need their support is increasing. Without the charity, God only knows where these young people would be.
There’s a lot of good businesses in the area – and I would love more local businesses to join us and support Nightsafe. I urge other businesses to visit the charity and see it for themselves.
