Anchor Avenue

A Medium Stay Supported Housing Project

Nightsafe’s Anchor Avenue is a medium stay supported housing project for up to six young people who have faced homelessness.

What To Expect

Nightsafe’s Anchor Avenue is a medium stay supported housing project for up to six homeless young people who are in need of support to gain the skills and confidence to move on into independent living.

Anchor Avenue is based in two converted semi-detached houses in Darwen, giving young people who have had a difficult start in life the tools, knowledge and resources they need to stand on their own two feet.

Each young person is assigned a Support Worker who will look at their needs and aspirations then co-produce a bespoke support plan to help them achieve their goals.

Young people are encouraged to participate in the running of the project through resident’s meetings, carrying out Health & Safety checks and risk assessments etc. as well as taking part in activities such as Life skills sessions, education and training opportunities.

Who Else Will Be There?

There is a maximum of six residents staying at any one time. Nightsafe welcomes young people from any background, religion, culture, gender, sexuality, ethnicity and ability. Staff and volunteers are on site during all opening times.
