How and Why Dunbia Support Nightsafe

Around 10 years ago, Andy Rimmer heard about Nightsafe through a family member.

Beginning with a donation of beef for the charity’s Christmas joints, the relationship has flourished from there.

The company has since donated meat products, fundraised for the charity, donated raffle prizes and have even supported a young person by providing employment opportunities.

Nightsafe is delighted to say that the company generously chose Nightsafe as their charity of the year, alongside Pendleside Hospice, for 2024.
Andy Rimmer, Health and Safety Manager, at Dunbia Sawley, said: “This year we supported a young lad and gave him a step forward in life with a job. We worked with him to offer him workplace skills and training and found out more about how the charity supports young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Damian Evans, Human Resources Officer at Dunbia Sawley, added: “Everyone at the company has got really excited about events for Nightsafe. We have hosted a number of events to raise money for them this year and it has been driven by our charity committee.

It must be difficult for a charity that doesn’t have a communications team, or a fundraising team to continue to raise awareness of the charity while thanking those who do donate their money, time and goods.
