Last week we celebrated our amazing volunteers who support us in every element of Nightsafe, from the day centre, emergency night shelter and housing projects through to our board of Trustees. Jan Larkin said "It is great to celebrate our volunteers, every day they make such a difference to so many lives. We are also thankful to our board of Trustees who are volunteers too, sharing their expertise and enthusiasm. "With the help of our volunteers, young people who are homeless will always have somewhere to go, somewhere to stay and someone to talk to. They truly are our Nightsafeheroes!" [...]

Hampton by Hilton Blackburn launch their partnership with Nightsafe

On Wednesday 30th March Hampton by Hilton, Blackburn officially launched their partnership with Nightsafe. CEO Jan Larkin and Project Manager Pam Holgate recently visited the hotel and met with Sales Manager Hannah White. Hannah introduced Jan to members of the team who are all really excited about channelling their energies and enthusiasm into a local charity. Jan commented "It was fabulous to visit the hotel and meet Hannah, to listen to why they have chosen to support Nightsafe and share with her the difference they will make" Hannah has lots of plans and ideas and can't wait to get started!!! The Hampton by Hilton Blackburn hotel team have pledged support to local charity Nightsafe, supporting young homeless people in Blackburn and Darwen. The team are committed to helping with a variety of projects including volunteering to help paint and decorate Nightsafe houses, donating moving on boxes and offering free gym passes to support mental and emotional well-being. Located on Frontier retail park just off the M65, on the border of Hyndburn and Blackburn. St Michael with St John School join Nightsafe Sleepout

On Friday 3rd December 2021 Nightsafe hosted their annual Sleep Out. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness around the issue of young people who are homeless and raise funds to support the vital work Nightsafe do. When St Michael with St John C of E Primary School, Blackburn, heard about the event they wanted to be part of it and arranged their own sponsored “SLEEP IN FOR NIGHTSAFE” which took place on the same night as the Sleep Out. Running For Nightsafe in the Blackburn 10K

When he saw the advert for the Blackburn 10K, Jimmy knew this was just the challenge he was looking for, and Nightsafe was the perfect charity to spur him along. Jimmy said “Earlier this year I needed a focus, something to get me motivated back into running and a local 10K was the perfect answer.

Cinquanta exhibition partners with Nightsafe

The 'Cinquanta' exhibition will partner with local youth homelessness charity Nightsafe to help raise funds for their new hostel in Darwen - giving a deeper purpose to this project and further demonstrating that C.P. Company understand the importance of giving something back.

Volunteer Week 1st – 7th June 2021: Billy is our Health, fitness and wellbeing mentor

Billy is a qualified gym instructor and has volunteered with Nightsafe for three months. He has already engaged the young people in sessions on site, teaching Boxercise and fitness. Billy is looking forward to being able to take them out to the gym, going walking as well as teaching them life skills.
