We are delighted to announce that Debbi Dawson has become a Nightsafe Patron.
Motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate by her own admissions, Debbi has been supporting and promoting Nightsafe for several years, in fact last year, along with her fabulous dog Bella she raised £2000 by ‘Walking 100 Miles in May’!!!
We caught up with Debbi recently when she was wallpapering one of the bedrooms in our Anchor Avenue project to find out what becoming a Patron meant to her.
WHY DID YOU AGREE TO BECOME A PATRON FOR NIGHTSAFE
Nightsafe has always been a charity that’s very close to my heart, so when Jan asked if I would like to be a Patron I was incredibly honoured and delighted to accept.
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT SINCE WORKING WITH US
Since I’ve been working more closely with Nightsafe I am starting to see just how many challenges you are up against every single day, yet your passion, compassion and determination to support young homeless people never waivers.
Also, whilst you rely heavily on donations to cover your significant outgoings (your property rental bills alone are staggering!), of equal importance to Nightsafe are donations of time and support given by local businesses and members of the community, which I know you all value greatly.
WHAT ARE YOUR AMBITIONS AS ONE OF OUR PATRONS
I would like to work more closely with the team to look at different ways in which we can raise more awareness of the incredible work you do, showcase the success stories and the huge impact you have on young peoples’ prospects and lives and maybe look at fresh ideas for fundraising too.
Nightsafe CEO Jan Larkin said “We are beyond delighted that Debbi has joined us as a Patron. With her enthusiasm and commitment, I know she will be invaluable in raising awareness and support for young people who need us.”
If you would like to learn more about becoming a Patron please contact Pam Holgate on pam.holgate@nightsafe.org
#Nightsafeheroes change lives
Without the help of our supporters, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.
Thank you to all our #NightsafeHeroes.
