Cornfield Cliffe – A Supported Housing Project

Nightsafe’s Cornfield Cliffe Project offers 24 hour support to young homeless people.

What To Expect

Cornfield Cliffe is a supported housing project based in Darwen. It is based in a six bedroom Victorian house and offers 24 hour support to young homeless people.

All residents are assigned a support worker who works with them to co-produce a bespoke action plan with agreed outcomes

Each young person has their own en-suite room with a shared kitchen, communal lounge and a training / activity room.

All residents are assigned a support worker who works with them to co-produce a bespoke action plan with agreed outcomes, which are reviewed at approx 1, 6 and 12 month intervals to help them move forward to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Staff provide support with life skills, including budgeting, cooking, health, education, training & employment and help with filling in forms.

Regular training sessions are run by partner agencies such as Brook sexual health service.

Who Else Will Be There?

There is a maximum of 6 residents staying at any one time. Nightsafe welcomes young people from any background, religion, culture, gender, sexuality, ethnicity and ability. Staff are on site at all times.

How Do I Access It?

Referrals to the Cornfield Cliffe project come to us via Blackburn with Darwen Housing Needs Department. You can contact them during office hours on 01254 585444. You must have a local connection to Blackburn with Darwen for a referral.

What Does It Cost?

Costs vary depending on individual circumstances. This will be discussed with you at interview but please be assured that costs are kept affordable for young people and services.
