There's something very special about a seven year old boy thinking of other young people, not that much older than himself, being homeless.
And Nightsafe are very fortunate to have that special 7 year old supporting us!
Sam Trickett decided he wanted to raise money for charity and after a long discussion with his parents he chose Nightsafe. The reason he gave was that no one should go to bed alone, hungry, and not safe.
Sam's plan was to have his own shop for a day "SAM'S SHOP!" and with the help of Lee Roe, the director of Clitheroe Football Club his wish came true. Lee allowed Sam to put his stall out at their match on Saturday 27th August. Sam was also contacted by Cupcakes of Distinction, a bakery in Clitheroe who kindly offered to donate 24 cupcakes.
Nightsafe CEO Jan Larkin said "Not only did Samuel think about others he put a wonderfully creative idea into action and has raised much needed funds for us at Nightsafe. We're so very grateful and very proud to have such a super young person join our Nightsafe family as perhaps one of our youngest Nightsafe Heroes"
Following the event Sam's parents said "Sam did so well at the match, we are super proud of him. We met some amazing people, and the staff and team were brilliant"
With his Just Giving page and shop sales Sam raised an incredible £678:96
Nightsafe Interim Operations Manager Nicola Roscoe said "Sam is amazing!!! What a truly remarkable young man he is, it is so kind of him to think of us at Nightsafe. This is just fantastic he has the support to be able to achieve his ambition"
Sam's Just Giving page is still open if you would like to support him
Without the help of our supporters, we wouldn't be able to do what we do.
Thank you to all our #NightsafeHeroes.
