We are delighted to announce that Charlotte Knowles and Elektec have joined the Nightsafe family as Patrons.

Elektec is a family run business providing electrical services for commercial and industrial organisations throughout the North West. Elektec was established in October 2017 and is based in Darwen, Lancashire. Charlotte co-owns the business with her husband Carl and is the Finance & Business Communications Manager. Elektec aims to provide excellent customer service, high quality electrical services and to make a positive difference within society.

We met up with Charlotte when she popped in to see Nightsafe CEO Jan Larkin

WHY DID YOU AGREE TO BECOME A PATRON FOR NIGHTSAFE
Elektec is passionate about supporting local organisations. With my Social Work background and wealth of experience working with homeless young people and children within the care of the Local Authority, I has seen first hand the importance of organisations, such as Nightsafe, who support young people in crisis.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO SUPPORT LOCAL CHARITIES
With the cost-of-living crisis and the impact of the pandemic, local charities need our support more than ever so they can provide crucial services to those in need.

WHAT ARE YOUR AMBITIONS AS ONE OF OUR PATRONS
Elektec aspire to raise awareness of Nightsafe locally and also, to encourage others to help. Whether it is offering a business service for free to save Nightsafe money which can then be spent directly on the young people, donating items or giving a financial donation. Every act of kindness will be much appreciated by the Nightsafe team. Elektec will also be providing some free electrical services and completing an art project or two.

Nightsafe CEO, Jan Larkin said “It’s always exciting when new organisations join the Nightsafe family and we are delighted to welcome Charlotte Knowles and the Elektec team to our ever growing family here at Nightsafe. Charlotte and I were introduced by another recent addition as Patron to Nightsafe, Debbi Dawson from East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce. Instantly there was a connection, Charlotte’s enthusiasm for making a difference in the community completely aligns with Nightsafe’s ethos in making a difference to the lives of young people.

We are already grateful to Charlotte and Elektec for all their wonderful support in helping us get ready to open our new Housing Project – Anchor Avenue and also for providing a splash of colour to Nightsafe’s Office and Training Room. The future might be orange but it’s also purple and teal!

Nightsafe, with Elektec’s support, are hoping to make the world a brighter place, starting in Blackburn with Darwen!
