Billy is a qualified gym instructor and has volunteered with Nightsafe for three months. He has already engaged the young people in sessions on site, teaching Boxercise and fitness. Billy is looking forward to being able to take them out to the gym, going walking as well as teaching them life skills.
“I wanted to volunteer for nightsafe as I want to give back and help young people who have had a tough time. I have lived experience and this enables me to empathise with the young people’s issues. I can share some of my experiences and encourage them to make positive choices and changes in their lives. If I can make that happen or make a difference then I will fulfil my role as a volunteer mentor”.
