Melissa's Story

Melissa stayed in our Night Shelter for 15 nights before we got her into Cornfield Cliffe.

We explained that as Melissa would have to make her own meals in Cornfield Cliffe and it would be a good idea to create a meal plan for the following week based on the tinned and dried food available at Platform 5 Day Centre.

Melissa created plans for a pasta dish, rice dish, curry, homemade pizza using baguettes and Jacket potatoes.

Melissa practiced making some of the dishes that she was unsure of, we made them for lunch in the Day Centre and was very proud of herself and felt ready to begin her new chapter.
