Cara's Story

An out of area police station contacted us to ask for a safe bedroom at our emergency Night Shelter for a young girl fleeing domestic violence. We were able to provide a room, clothing and toiletries.

Cara asked us for a pregnancy test which we do with our young girls. When it came back positive we supported Cara and listened to what she wanted to do. We took her to Brook Sexual Health for more advice and support.

Working with Social Services we have supported Cara into safe supported living back in her home area. Cara says that she is grateful for all we have done and knows that we are her to provide support when needed.
