What To Expect

Nightsafe’s Witton Project is a medium stay supported housing project for up to four homeless young people, who are in need of support to gain the skills and confidence to move on into independent living.

Each young person is assigned a Support Worker who will look at their needs & aspirations

Witton Project is based in a large terraced house close to Witton Park. It is situated in easy walking distance to the town centre and also has easy access to public transport.

Each young person is assigned a Support Worker who will look at their needs & aspirations then co-produce a bespoke action plan to help them achieve their goals.

Young people are encouraged to participate in the running of the project through residents meetings, carrying out Health & Safety checks and risk assessments etc. as well as taking part in activities such as cook and eat sessions.

Who Else Will Be There?

There is a maximum of 4 residents staying at any one time. Nightsafe welcomes young people from any background, religion, culture, gender, sexuality, ethnicity and ability. Staff and volunteers are on site during all opening times.

How Do I Access It?

Referrals to the Witton project come to us via Blackburn with Darwen Housing Needs Department. You can contact them during office hours on 01254 585444. You must have a local connection to Blackburn with Darwen for a referral.

What Does It Cost?

Costs vary depending on individual circumstances. This will be discussed with you at interview but please be assured that costs are kept affordable for young people and services.
