Sleep In for World Homeless Week - Next month, 5-11 October, marks World Homeless Week. More specifically, Saturday 10 October marks World Homeless Day – a day to show solidarity with homeless people and those who help them.
A worker from charity Nightsafe is teaming up with a colleague on a 30-mile walk to raise funds to mark the organisations 30th Anniversary.
Harry Lee, 13, was approached as a Youth Ambassador by Nightsafe after giving a compelling speech about the charity at the GRAB event in Clitheroe at the start of 2020.

Young homeless and vulnerable people from across Blackburn and Darwen will continue to receive food and other essential items thanks to a grant of £2,500 to the Nightsafe charity from East Lancashire Freemasons.
German-born Aaron Singler, 19, said he would recommend volunteering for the homeless charity after completing a six-month placement at Nightsafe, working between the Witton Project and the Night Shelter during his gap year.
Christian Davies and his wife Mandy have donated their weekly beer money to Nightsafe during lockdown. Christian would normally enjoying a few pints of Guinness at his local pub, the Millstone at Mellor – but lockdown has stood in the way of his regular evening plans.

The Blackburn headquartered law firm has stepped up once again to support the local community, making another donation through the firm’s charitable foundation the Farleys Foundation, to support a charity for young homeless people in the Blackburn area.
